Senior Equine Portraits, not a moment too soon! Silverton Oregon
During this crazy year of 2020, the pandemic has really taken a toll on all of us. Not only did 2020 bring me the birth of a new child, but it also put a huge halt on my photography business. I wasn’t able to book any new sessions all year, for the safety of my own family, and for my clients.
But then I got a call from Emma. This crazy year is her senior year. Emma is an amazing, beautiful, creative, compassionate young woman ready to make her mark on this world. She booked a senior portrait session for herself and her three horses, on one condition… my new baby could tag along.
So there I was, baby stroller in tow, camera at the ready, when Emma came out to the pasture with her three perfectly adorable horses.
As horse people, we know that each horse has it’s own individual personality. Emma’s horses were no exception. A diva, a cuddle bug and a sweet heart.
As Emma got more comfortable with the camera, her loving, happy and caring personality began to shine so bright! Her horses interacted with her like old friends, and she just shone beauty and courage with every shot.

A few days after the shoot, Emma’s appaloosa had an unexpected tragedy happen. Emma lost her beloved horse. It was a wonderful pleasure to take photos for Emma, and give her the memories to cherish. But even more so, it was a blessing to be able to take these pictures before the passing of her sweet mare.
Thank you, Emma, for allowing me to be a part of your story. Your future is bright, and beautiful, no matter what 2020 has to give. It was an honor to meet you.
